Myeongho Jeon
I am a postdoctoral researcher in Computer Science at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) working with Maria Brbic. I hold a firm academic belief that AI systems, even those surpassing human expertise, stay aligned with human intent. Specifically, my main interests are in (1) developing AI systems capable of solving complex, superhuman-level problems, and (2) improving their generalization to handle distribution shifts across diverse environments.
Previously, I completed my PhD in Computational Science and Technology from Seoul National University in 2024, under the supervision of Myungjoo Kang. I received University's award for the best thesis. I am supported for my research in Switzerland through Sejong Science Fellowship from the Korean National Research Foundation. Additionally, I am honored to be nominated as a Next-generation Korean Leader, mentored by Changhyun Kim, Vice President of Samsung. Since 2022, I have served as a computer vision mentor for the NAVER AI Boostcamp program and have extensive teaching experience, including for employees at Samsung, LG, Hyundai, Hana Financial Group, and the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation.
