Myeongho Jeon
I am a postdoctoral researcher at KAIST, where I work with Eunho Yang. Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher at EPFL working with Maria Brbic. I hold a firm academic belief that AI systems, even those surpassing human expertise, stay aligned with human intent. Specifically, my main interests are in (1) developing AI systems capable of solving complex, superhuman-level problems, and (2) improving their generalization to handle distribution shifts across diverse environments.
I completed my PhD in Computational Science and Technology from Seoul National University in 2024, under the supervision of Myungjoo Kang. I received University's award for the best thesis. My research in South Korea is supported by the InnoCORE Fellowship. In Switzerland, I was supported by the Sejong Science Fellowship and subsequently funded by the Outstanding Young Researcher Grant as a global collaborator through the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF). Additionally, I have been honored with nomination as a Next-generation Korean Leader, with mentorship from Changhyun Kim, Vice President of Samsung. Since 2022, I have served as a computer vision mentor for the NAVER AI Boostcamp program and have extensive teaching experience, including training professionals at Samsung, LG, Hyundai, Hana Financial Group, and the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation.
